Steps to Determine Your Bracelet Size:
- Measure your wrist below the wrist bone (where you would normally wear your bracelet). You can do this with a cloth or paper measuring tape or use a strip of paper or string.
- If you use a strip of paper or string, cut or mark where one end meets making one full wrap around the wrist. Then measure the paper or string. This gives you the wrist size.
- To determine the bracelet size, see the suggested guidelines below. Add to the wrist measurement according to how you’d like the bracelet to fit. Please note that sizing for stretch and wrap bracelets is different and see the last bullet point for them:
- For a regular fit, add 1/2″.
- For a loose comfort fit, add 3/4″.
- For an extra loose, low-hanging bracelet, add 1″.
- If the specific bracelet size according to these measurement guides is not available, it’s suggested to go larger rather than smaller.
- An example: if your wrist measures at 6 inches, order a 6.5 inch bracelet size for a regular fit or a 7 inch bracelet size for a loose fit.
- Stretch and wrap bracelets are designed to be worn more tightly on the wrist allowing for less movement. See the guidelines below.
Stretch bracelets: your actual wrist measurement is most likely to be close to your stretch bracelet size. For a comfortable fit with “breathing room”, I suggest adding a 1/4″ to your wrist measurement. For example, I have a 6 inch wrist. I wear a 6 1/4″ size because I like a bit of movement and ease rather than having it tight against my wrist. For a tighter fit, I could wear a 6 inch bracelet; I would not order anything smaller than 6 inches.
Also, please, for the life and durability of your stretch bracelets, roll them over your hand and onto your wrist. Do not stretch them on. Roll, baby, roll.
Wrap bracelets: please note that each listing includes the full length of the bracelet and the bracelet size when wrapped. Most likely, you will appreciate a bit of movement and do not want to order a wrap bracelet that has a size that is the same as your wrist measurement. I suggest adding 1/4″ (or more if you prefer a looser wrap bracelet). For example, a wrap bracelet that is listed with a 14″ length and a 6 1/4″ bracelet size would be well suited for a 6″ or smaller wrist. (Please take into consideration that the bracelet needs length to wrap over itself, so a 14″ bracelet length does not wrap twice to become a 7″ bracelet size.)
If your wrist is somewhere between size options, go up in size rather than down.
